“Synthesis and in Vitro Evaluation of Monodisperse Amino-Functional Polyester Dendrimers with Rapid Degradability and Antibacterial Properties. Stenström et. al. (2017). Biomacromolecules, 18, 12, 4323-4330.”

In this paper, bis-MPA dendrimers were successfully decorated with multitude of amine and thereafter postfunctionalized in both organic as well as aqueous media. The amino-functional dendrimers were rapidly degraded under biologically relevant conditions. This class of dendrimers showed antibacterial properties that were highly promising in combination with low cyto-toxicity in relevant human cell lines.
