Polymer Factory Granted Dendritic Nanogel (DNG) Patent in Multiple European Countries

Stockholm, Sweden – Polymer Factory Sweden AB (publ) today announced that its patent application for the Company’s dendritic nanogel (DNG) platform has been granted in several European countries.

The DNG platform is an innovative nanocarrier system based on dendritic materials, designed to encapsulate, transport, and control the release of various cargos, including pharmaceuticals, peptides, and antibiotics. DNG offers a novel alternative to established drug delivery systems such as polymeric micelles and liposomes.

“A strong patent protection is valuable both for Polymer Factory and for potential future partners. Our main commercial focus is on Europe and the USA, which makes this decision an important step forward in our journey to commercialize the DNG platform,” said Mats Wallnér, CEO of Polymer Factory.

The patent was filed on August 13, 2019, and will be valid for 20 years from the date of grant, ensuring market exclusivity during this period. This follows the Company’s previously granted DNG patents in the United States and China in 2024.
